We decided it was time to put the leaf cutter bee cocoons out at the residential lot in Gilbert, AZ since the crepe myrtle was starting to bloom.
We have a "gallon" of leaf cutter cocoons, about 10,000 that we got from JWM Leaf Cutters, Inc. Our plan is to repeat the placement from May of last year that was so successful.
Gene and I explain the plan and process in this video:
As we were placing the cocoons and habitats out, we were INTERRUPTED!
We remembered that we were painting the exterior of the house the next day. The crew was coming to move all materials from the walls, dig down a few inches and pressure wash everything.
We're putting the habitat placement on hold until the painting is done; about four days.
