The leaf cutter bee cocoons that we placed on the 8th of May started emerging on the 30th.
Now the bees have begun building nests and filling the habitats we provided. They are using sections of cut leaves as filler material:
We noted tube plugged with green leaves, pink bougainvillea flowers and even some with mud. This mud plugging suggests that there may be some blue orchard bees active in the garden.
