Checking on the Bees In Gilbert

We placed 7,500 leaf cutter bee cocoons at the residential lot in Gilbert. We are monitoring the status regularly. We visually inspect the site, monitor the temperature and humidity and observe the coming and going of the bees after they emerge into and out of the habitats.

The good news is that we are seeing tubes filled.

Unfortunately we were not able to check the bee status at the Master Garden in Flowing Springs. The road to the cabin is closed due to the "Backbone Fire". The small towns of Pine and Strawberry are under evacuation orders.

Fortunately the fire is being driven by the winds away from Flowing Springs but we are still concerned due to the high temperatures and low humidity.
