Completing the Harvest of the Site4 Habitat

Previously, we showed the layout of Site4 in Flagstaff and started to harvest the 8 by 6 habitat. We paused the harvest when we observed live insects (bees?) in the habitat. We took the opportunity to reduce the possible insect activity by cooling the habitat in a refrigerator.

Now that the habitat is cooled, we continued the harvest.

We noted a number of bees, all dead, in the habitat.

In addition, we retrieved these bees from the PVC tube (see video above):

We plan to show the retrieved bees to our experts to determine the exact species and possible cause of death. The habitats also contained a variety of plant materials apparently transported their by some insect. We will also investigate this.
