Previously, we detailed how we layed out the two sites in Cornville and suffered a Beemagedon with 2,000 bees and cocoons.
Gene made a return trip on 5 April 2019 to inspect the habitats and determine the status of the bees. He took notes on the general conditions at both location at Site2a:
In addition, he mapped the 'blue box' habitats which we had neglected to do on our initial trip. This will allow us to specifically locate the geographic area of any filled tubes (our prime metric for this research project).
He did the same for Site2b:
Gene did notice a peculiarity of the lesser filled PVC tube at Site2a. It appeared to have suffered some water damage. So he brought it back to Phoenix to further inspect.
Next we will do the same inspection for the Payson/Flowing Springs Site3.
