Now that we have significant bee activity at our Gilbert Site1a2h, we will be monitoring the progress as they fill the habitat tubes.
We are seeing significant evidence of a second generation of bees as evidenced by circular holes from previously filled nests:

We also see this in the mud filled nests which we think are blue orchard bees (BOBs) from our project last year.

We counted roughly 33 nests with an emergence. This is about 10% of the current count of 316 nests:


We continue to observe a low level of bees flying to and from the habitats.
