Our residential habitat (Site1a1b) in Phoenix now has three tubes plugged with mud and lots of bees buzzing around.
So we have updated our Summary Results to show 0.1% tubes filled/tubes placed.
An interesting data point is that this is one of six habitats in the two Phoenix locations and the only one that is always shaded from the sun. The conventional wisdom is to place the habitats so that they get some morning sun.
Perhaps this is not appropriate for very hot climates such as Phoenix? One data point is too few to make any generalizations. We will continue to monitor the situation at Phoenix and the other sites also.
