More Success!!!! Four Tubes Filled

The main objective of this research project is to see if we can propagate blue orchard bees (BOBs) in Arizona.

We have had our first, admittedly minor, success. On the morning of 30 March 2019, roughly 11 am, we recorded that three of the tubes in the Phoenix lakeside residential lot, Site1a1b were plugged with mud.

Note also the bee in the top row, fourth from the left. And there is a yellow substance, pollen, immediately below.

In the above view, you can see yellow substance, pollen, immediately below and to the left of the two top plugged tubes. The bees have been busy in this shaded location.

Note in this video the bee going into one of the tubes at the beginning (4 second mark), and the bee in the top/fourth left position.

And we came back to check at 615 pm, another tube was plugged; the top/fourth left where the bee was in the above photo and video.
