Temperature Check!

Updated: Jun 17, 2021

We placed the leaf cutter bee cocoons and habitat at the Gilbert residential lot two days ago. We had to fashion sun shade since we were getting some direct sunlight.

The bees are starting to emerge. You can actually hear the bees "buzzing" in the cocoon. It's more a vibration than a sound. The phone does not do a good job of picking up the sound and sensation. Here is an attempt:

We still had some direct sunlight on the temperature and humidity device. You can see the peak in temperature around 3:30 pm on the 9th and 10th of June. The real peak on the 9th was 136F. I caught it on the 10th and moved the device so that it was fully shaded next to the cocoons.

You can see the spike up in humidity on the 10th at about 7 pm when I hosed down the area in and attempt to decrease the temperature. There is a small temperature decrease on the graph above.

Here is an expanded view of the temperature and humidity:

Site1a2greenhouse, Gilbert, Temperature and Humidity for 9-11 June 2021

You can see the spikes to 136F the first day due to the device being in the direct sunlight.
