We placed a 'quart' of leaf cutter bee cocoons and a habitat at the residential lot in Gilbert. This is the second set we have placed there. The first set was wildly successful with lots of bee activity observed after a three week incubation period.
The new Site1a2i was placed under the lemon tree next to the greenhouse.
Given that we are late in the season, we are not sure what to expect. We plan to put another, lessor count of cocoons at our other Gilbert residential site to expand the observation. The temperatures have been higher than normal and are expected to continue that way.
