WE HAVE BEES!

The bees have emerged! On the afternoon of Saturday the 30th of May we observed bee activity at the new Site1a2h on 8 May 2020.

During our observation of the bees we also had a "monsoon" that brought strong winds and some rain.

There are hundreds of bees.

The monsoon caused the temperature to drop over 20 deg F and the humidity to spike. You can see the temperature drop on the right hand side of the graph.

The humidity increase is also apparent.

After the rain and temperature drop, the bees all sheltered in the big habitat. The auxiliary, small habitat had much less activity.

Now we are left with the question why did the bees take three weeks to emerge?
