Today we ordered mason bee habitat kits from Watts Solitary Bees. Jim Watts was extremely helpful in determining how many and what types of habitats we would need for each of our Arizona locations.
The habitat above is placed in the field with a PVC pipe holding the cocoons. The bees will emerge from the PVC pipe via the hole drilled in the end cap.
